Our nonprofit restaurant is open to the public, and it’s a great place to try authentic international cuisine! But it’s more than a restaurant. We offer multiple holistic programs to empower Spokane's Immigrant and former Refugee communities to develop skills, grow connections, share culture, and build flourishing lives in the U.S.

Wednesday, January 7th
Mohammed Nabi | Bangladesh
Chef Mohammed came to the United States from Bangladesh as a refugee with his family almost two years ago. He enjoys making traditional Bangladeshi food and sharing the flavors of his culture with others. Mohammed works hard to achieve his goals, which include learning English and supporting his family to build a better life in the United States.
Thursday, January 8th
Nader Hamoud | Syria
Chef Nader is originally from Syria and relocated to Jordan, where he spent a decade honing his culinary skills, particularly in baking and desserts. In August 2023, he moved to the United States with his wife and five children. He began his culinary journey as a chef at Gonzaga and is currently working at Al Pine Bakery. Chef Nader is excited to cook at Feast, serving delicious dishes like Chicken Shawarma, grilled Kebabs, Baklava and more!
Friday, January 9th
Nafisa | Afghanistan
Chef Nafisa is a passionate cook who delights in sharing her authentic Afghan recipes with our community. Chef Nafisa serves up delicious aromatic dishes like bolani, pulao rice, kofta, and baklava. Come enjoy her culinary expertise, and immerse yourself in the the flavors of Afghanistan.
Saturday, January 10th
Abdelrahman | Syria
Chef Abdelrahman left Syria 10 years ago and moved to Lebanon with his family—his mom, dad, and six siblings. Currently, four of his siblings have made it to the USA, with two more waiting to join. He has worked in a bakery for the last 10 years but the war forced him and his siblings to work to support their parents. Chef Abdulrahman has a dream he wants to achieve, and he believes that Feast World Kitchen can help him reach it.
Sunday, January 11th
Cristian Seu | Venezuela
Chef Cristian is originally from Venezuela and works full-time at Feast. He is passionate about cooking, particularly as a way to share his culture and connect with others. We’re excited to have him showcase his cuisine here at Feast!

We’re best known for our social enterprise restaurant and catering company that teaches career skills, empowers leadership, and incubates small food enterprise businesses. This short film “Chef Partner Stories” shows why we do it!
Using the table, and the platform we’ve built, for flourishing.
Check out the “Impact Stories” video for a glimpse behind the scenes at Table Time, our drop-in support and empowerment program that helps people navigate life in the U.S.. This program overlaps with the chef program, but has served hundreds of others from the Immigrant communities we serve.
Each day, a different chef family is proud to share flavors from their home culture.

Feast World Kitchen thrives because of community support, and there are many ways to get take action and get involved!
Volunteers can assist our Chef Partners and staff in the restaurant or at catering events, enjoying a unique relational work experience and (of course) a free meal.
For those looking for a deeper impact, our Table Time program offers the chance to support Immigrants and former Refugees with essential resources and supportive friendship.
